Melstedgård, also known as Bornholm's Farming Museum, is located 13 kilometres west of Svaneke on the Danish island of Bornholm. This old farm serves as a unique insight into the agricultural history of the region, offering visitors a chance to explore the traditional farming practices and lifestyle of the past.
One of the main attractions at Melstedgård is the Tejn Mølle windmill, which opened in 2009. This historic windmill offers a unique opportunity for visitors to learn about traditional wind-powered machinery and its role in farming.
The farmhouse at Melstedgård has been carefully preserved with its historic furnishings, or replicas thereof, to reflect its appearance in the 19th century. Visitors can explore the rooms and get a sense of the living conditions and lifestyle of the farmers during that period.
