The Blue and Gray Museum, located in Decatur, Alabama, was a significant collection of American Civil War artifacts. This privately-owned museum housed a large number of items that provided a deep insight into the history of the American Civil War.
In addition to Civil War artifacts, the Blue and Gray Museum also housed a variety of non-Civil War items. These included U.S. General Joseph K. Mansfield's ivory-handled Colt 1851 Navy revolver, shako military hats from the MexicanโAmerican War, Lt. Charles E. Warren's 1810โ1840-era sword, and letters from notable figures such as Ulysses S. Grant, John C. Calhoun, Ormsby Mitchel, and P.G.T. Beauregard.
