The Bibliothèque nationale de France, or BnF, is the national library of France and is situated in the capital city, Paris. It is one of the most significant libraries in the world, holding a vast collection of publications from centuries of French history. The library is a public institution and was reorganized under its current name in 1994.
The BnF is composed of seven facilities, including the main Tolbiac facility, also known as the François-Mitterrand site, and the historical Richelieu facility. The Tolbiac facility is a collection of new buildings located at 11 Quai François Mauriac in the 13th district of Paris. The Richelieu facility, on the other hand, is an old building located at 58 Rue de Richelieu in the 2nd district.
