The Bauernmuseum Selfkant comprises a bakehouse and a 2000 m² hall. The museum's collection includes 20 historical tractors and a variety of everyday farming objects. These exhibits provide a glimpse into the agricultural past and offer an educational experience for visitors of all ages.
The Bauernmuseum Selfkant showcases rooms and workshops from earlier times, including bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, a forge, a wheelwright's shop, and a wooden shoe maker's workshop. These displays offer visitors a chance to step back in time and understand the living and working conditions of the rural population in the past.
Every two years at Pentecost, the Bauernmuseum Selfkant hosts an old-timer meeting with over 500 tractors and a historical market. During this event, bread and cakes, known as Selfkantfla, are baked in the old bakehouse and baskets are woven. This event provides a unique opportunity for visitors to experience traditional rural activities and customs.
