Starting in April 2026 and continuing for two seasons This exhibition shows the relationship between the Hamlyn Family and the development of the woollen mills in Buckfastleigh over two centuries and more.

    The Valiant Soldier was an active pub in Buckfastleigh which closed in the late 1960's and never re-opened. Everything was literally left as it was and today, it's open as a museum, giving visitors a glimpse of the past. More recently town museum rooms and an archive have been opened.
