Railway museums in South Holland

The RTM Trammuseum in Ouddorp preserves the history of the former Rotterdamse Tramweg Maatschappij (RTM), which operated tram, bus and ferry services in the islands of South Holland and Zeeland between 1898 and 1966. The Museum Stoomdepot is located in a classic locomotive shed in Rotterdam. Inside the shed are five tracks with steam locomotives. The second floor provides space for exhibitions. It is also possible to take a ride in one of the steam trains.

Streetcar Museum Rotterdam is located in streetcar depot Hillegersberg. The museum paints a picture of streetcar history using photographs and streetcar attributes such as uniforms and tickets. The museum also features several streetcars, including an old horse-drawn streetcar from 1880.

The Hague Public Transport Museum is dedicated to the history of streetcars and buses. Using a collection of old streetcars and buses, the museum shows how public transport in The Hague developed. It is also possible for visitors to take a tour in a historic streetcar.
