Saint-Cloud is a western suburb of Paris, located in the Hauts-de-Seine department. The town is historically significant due to its connection with the French monarchy, most notably through the Château de Saint-Cloud, which was once a royal residence. Although the château was destroyed during the Franco-Prussian War in 1870, the spectacular park that surrounded it still exists today as the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud.
The town has maintained its cultural significance through its well-preserved heritage sites and green spaces. The area is known for its elevated position offering views over Paris, its historic gardens designed by Le Nôtre, and its role in French history.
Today, Saint-Cloud combines its historical character with modern urban development, hosting various cultural events throughout the year in its parks and public spaces.
