Porthcurno is a small coastal village located in Cornwall, in the far southwest of England.

The village holds significant historical importance as it was once the heart of international telecommunications, serving as the landing point for submarine telegraph cables that connected Britain with various parts of the world from the late 19th century onwards. This heritage is preserved and celebrated in the village's Telegraph Museum.

Beyond its technological history, Porthcurno is known for its stunning beach with fine white sand and clear turquoise waters, backed by granite cliffs. The village is also home to the remarkable Minack Theatre, an open-air amphitheatre carved into the cliffs overlooking the sea, which hosts theatrical performances during the summer months.
