History museums in Faro

The Roman ruins of Milreu, classified as a National Monument, are located in the civil parish of Estói in the municipality of Faro, Portugal. These ruins are the remains of an important Roman villa rustica and are considered the most prominent and well-preserved evidence of Roman presence in the Algarve.

The Algarve Regional Museum, originally known as the Faro Regional Ethnographic Museum, was established in 1962.
