Dzibilchaltún is an ancient Maya archaeological site located in the Mexican state of Yucatán, approximately 17 kilometers north of Mérida. The name Dzibilchaltún means "place where there is writing on flat stones" in the Mayan language. This pre-Hispanic settlement was one of the longest-occupied Maya sites, with a history spanning from about 500 BCE to the Spanish Colonial period.

The site is particularly known for its Temple of the Seven Dolls, which demonstrates sophisticated Maya astronomical knowledge - during the spring and fall equinoxes, the rising sun aligns perfectly with the temple's main doorway. The archaeological zone includes numerous structures, plazas, and an open-air museum that houses Maya artifacts discovered at the site. A cenote (natural sinkhole) called Xlacah is also located within the complex, which served both practical and ceremonial purposes for the ancient inhabitants.
