Museums open on Monday in Asuncion

The Independence House Museum, known as Museo Casa de la Independencia, is situated in the heart of Asuncion, the capital city of Paraguay. This central location makes it easily accessible for tourists visiting the city.

The Cultural Center of the Republic in Asunción, Paraguay is housed in the historic Town Council (Cabildo) building. The center's primary mission is to strengthen awareness of all aspects of national history, thereby giving the building itself the status of a monument.

The Andrés Barbero Ethnographic Museum is an ethnographic and archaeological museum located in Asuncion, Paraguay. It was inaugurated on November 28, 1933, and has been housed in the Museum Dr. Andrés Barbero building on España Street since 1956. The museum was founded by Dr. Andrés Barbero, who invited the Paraguayan Scientific Society to establish the museum.

In the area of the botanical gardens, there is a small museum presenting natural history mainly from Paraguayan area.

The Museo de las Memorias in Asuncion is a place of reflection and memory. It showcases paintings, graphics, and historical objects that relate to the human rights violations that took place during the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner. This period, from August 1954 to February 1989, was a time of harsh and prolonged military and repressive regime in Paraguay.
