Visitors often praise the zoo's layout, which provides a pleasant walking experience through various habitats. The enclosures are generally spacious and well-maintained, allowing animals to exhibit natural behaviors. The zoo is particularly commended for its primate exhibits, including a notable gorilla habitat.

Many reviewers appreciate the zoo's focus on education, with informative signage and occasional keeper talks. The zoo's efforts in breeding endangered species, such as the clouded leopard, are also highlighted as a positive aspect.

The zoo's location on a hillside adds to its charm, offering scenic views, but it can make some paths steep, which might be challenging for visitors with mobility issues. Some visitors note that this unique topography adds to the overall experience, while others find it somewhat tiring.

While most exhibits receive positive feedback, a few visitors mention that some older enclosures could benefit from updates or renovations. However, this is often balanced by acknowledgment of ongoing improvements and new additions to the zoo.

The staff is generally described as friendly and knowledgeable, contributing to a positive atmosphere. Many visitors also appreciate the zoo's efforts to maintain cleanliness throughout the grounds.

Food options and amenities receive mixed reviews, with some visitors finding them satisfactory and others suggesting there's room for improvement in terms of variety and quality.
