The 19th Century Willowbrook Village was an open-air museum situated in Newfield, Maine. It was located north of the town center on Elm Street and spanned approximately 10 acres. The museum was home to 34 buildings, each offering a unique glimpse into the past.
The museum used to operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., five days a week, from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through October. However, it was closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This schedule allowed visitors ample time to explore the museum and its many exhibits.
The museum's mission was to provide an experiential, hands-on learning environment. It emphasized activities connected with science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM). The museum housed a working collection of artifacts from the 19th and early 20th centuries, offering visitors a unique educational experience.
