The Water Pavilion, originally a thematic pavilion at Expo 98 in Lisbon, found its new home in the City Park of Porto after the Expo. This relocation has allowed the pavilion to continue its mission of educating and entertaining visitors about the importance and beauty of water.

Renovation and Reopening of the Water Pavilion

In November 2016, the Water Pavilion was temporarily closed for renovation and expansion. During this period, it received new interactive content, enhancing the visitor experience. The renovation was planned by its original designer, architect Alexandre Burmester. The pavilion reopened to the public on March 23, 2019.
