The Fotoplastikon in Warsaw is the oldest Kaiserpanorama (a form of stereoscopic entertainment medium) in the world that is still located at its original place since its installation. The building itself was built around 1900 in the neo-Baroque style. During the German occupation from 1939 to mid-January 1945, the nearly 40 square meter space was not controlled by the German authorities, so that meetings of Polish resistance fighters could take place there. Also in the 1950s and 1960s, regime-critical Warsaw residents met here. It is now a museum that contains a stereoscopic photo collection of about 3,000 copies presented thematically.

The Warsaw Fotoplastikon offers visitors a glimpse into the past through its unique stereoscopic photo viewing experience. Located in the heart of Warsaw, this small museum houses a vintage photoplasticon, a device that displays 3D images from the early 20th century. Many visitors appreciate the historical value and nostalgic atmosphere of the venue. The collection of photographs, depicting various cities and scenes from around the world, is often described as interesting and diverse. However, some reviewers note that the museum is quite small and the experience can be brief. The staff is generally reported to be friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the visit with historical context. While not a major tourist attraction, the Warsaw Fotoplastikon is often recommended for those interested in photography, history, or looking for a unique cultural experience in Warsaw. Keep in mind that the space is limited, so it may feel cramped during busy times. Overall, it's a niche attraction that offers a window into a bygone era of entertainment and photography.
