Reintroduction of Plains Bison at Wanuskewin Heritage Park

In December 2019, a herd of plains bison was reintroduced to Wanuskewin Heritage Park, a historic bison hunting ground for numerous Indigenous groups. The reintroduction of these six calves, brought from Grasslands National Park, marks a significant step in the park's commitment to preserving and showcasing the natural and cultural heritage of the area.
