Source

The diversity of the world under one roof: the Übersee-Museum presents the cultural and natural regions of our planet on over 10,000 square meters. The visit takes you from Asia with its legendary Silk Road to the African savannah and the Americas. The exhibition “Experience what moves the world” deals with current topics such as climate change and migration. Many museum treasures from the collection are waiting to be explored in the “Übermaxx” exhibition. In the “Searching for Traces” exhibition, the museum takes a critical look at its colonial past. The new permanent exhibition “The Blue Continent - Islands in the Pacific” about life and cultures in the Pacific region will run until March 2025. Unique cultural-historical exhibits, masterful animal dioramas and real plants invite young and old to marvel!
