Trevor Zoo - Millbrook School and its collection

Trevor Zoo is a unique feature of Millbrook School, being the only zoo in the United States located inside a high school. The zoo was founded by Frank Trevor, the school's first biology teacher. It is home to 180 exotic and indigenous animals, representing 80 different species, including 10 endangered species.

Student Participation at Trevor Zoo

Students at Millbrook School actively participate in the care of the wildlife at Trevor Zoo. A mandatory curriculum for 9th graders, known as Zoo community service, encourages students to engage in animal husbandry, diet preparation, and veterinary medicine.
