No stay in our area is complete without a visit to our community owned, community run Discovery Centre. Here you'll find all you need to plan your visit and much, much more! Come and try our whisky inspired Virtual Reality exhibit or learn about our area's fascinating heritage including the history of the Tomintoul Coat or visit the wild cat den. Experience our new Dark Skies exhibit as part of the Cairngorms Dark Sky Park. Learn about the night sky, blackholes, and our our blue planet with our amazing Virtual Reality experience. You will get an excellent stargazing experience almost anywhere in the Dark Skies Park, but you can find the best views at our three Dark Skies Discovery Sites. Just ask our staff for information and locations. Looking for local information to make your visit extra special? Our staff and volunteers have in depth knowledge of our area and can share with you the best places to visit and things to see to make your trip truly unique and authentic. The centre includes information of the surrounding area, local crafts and souvenirs, and free WIFI!
