The Three Valleys Zoo spans an impressive 58 hectares, providing ample space for its diverse range of animals. Visitors can explore the zoo via a 4 km walking route, which typically takes around 4 hours to complete. This allows for a leisurely pace, with plenty of opportunities to observe the animals and enjoy the surrounding scenery.
The Three Valleys Zoo has a history of opening and closing due to various issues. It first opened its doors in 2013, but faced a closure in 2016 due to safety concerns. The zoo reopened in 2017, only to be closed again in 2020 following an inspection that revealed serious shortcomings related to health, safety, and animal detention conditions. After addressing these issues, the zoo reopened in May 2021. However, it was closed again in July 2022 due to infractions and concerns about animal welfare.
