The Old Tishomingo County Courthouse was built during 1870. The town is the site of Battle of Iuka. Iuka was once the as marriage capital of the South. Following the Civil War visitors came to the area from throughout the United States to drink its mineral water and to stay at the area's resort hotels. The Museum has a genealogy library. Numerous Civil War Artifacts and post Civil War artifacts exhibited. In addition to documents, photographs are part of the Museum's library. The staff will assist with research projects.
