The Mount, located in Lenox, United States, is the former home of renowned author Edith Wharton. This historic estate offers visitors a glimpse into the life and times of the Pulitzer Prize-winning writer. The property features beautifully restored interiors that showcase the taste and style of the early 20th century. Many visitors appreciate the well-preserved architecture and the carefully manicured gardens, which provide a serene backdrop for exploration.

The guided tours are often highlighted as informative and engaging, offering insights into Wharton's life, her literary works, and the social context of her era. The knowledgeable staff and volunteers are frequently praised for their passion and expertise. The library and Wharton's writing room are particular points of interest for literature enthusiasts.

While most visitors find the experience rewarding, some note that the admission price can be considered steep, especially for those not deeply interested in literature or history. A few visitors have mentioned that certain areas of the house can feel a bit crowded during peak times. On behalf of the Paxton Garden Club, thank you for a fabulous experience on our 2nd bus trip! The tours, gardens, and house were just spectacular. And the staff (especially Anne, Bob & Marge) and lunch were excellent. Our attendees were thrilled with the entire trip.
