The Gardens on Spring Creek is a botanical garden that spans 18 acres. It is situated on the Spring Creek corridor in Fort Collins, Colorado. This location offers a unique blend of natural beauty and horticultural diversity, making it a great place for visitors to explore and enjoy.
In 2017, a significant expansion of The Gardens on Spring Creek began. This multi-million dollar project, which lasted for two years, added 5 acres of new garden spaces to the site. These include the Theme Gardens (Plant Select, Fragrance, Rose, Moon, Hummingbird and Butterfly), the Great Lawn/Everitt Pavilion, the Undaunted Garden, the Foothills Garden, and the Prairie Garden. These additions provide a wide range of environments for visitors to explore.
The expansion project of The Gardens on Spring Creek, completed in 2019, not only added new garden spaces but also doubled the size of the visitor center. One of the highlights of this expansion is the all-glass butterfly house, which is operated in partnership with the Butterfly Pavilion of Westminster, Colorado. This feature offers visitors a unique opportunity to observe and interact with a variety of butterfly species in a controlled environment.
