Originally established as an arboretum, the garden spans 35 acres of the university's 2,660-acre campus in Edwardsville, Illinois. It serves as a living laboratory supporting the educational and research missions of the university, as well as a place of beauty for the university community and the general public to enjoy.
The Gardens at SIUE are located on Arboretum Lane, south off Cougar Lake Road on the SIUE campus. For those who prefer a more scenic route, the gardens are also accessible via the Delyte Morris Bike Trail, which connects with the Madison County Transit Nature Trail.
