The Historic Strawberry Mansion, located in East Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a summer home built between 1783 and 1789. The mansion was originally constructed by Judge William Lewis and was initially named Summerville.
In 1821, two years after the death of William Lewis, Joseph Hemphill purchased the Strawberry Mansion. Hemphill's family contributed to the mansion's architecture by adding Greek Revival wings to the Federal style structure that Lewis had erected around 1828.
The Strawberry Mansion is open to the public for tours from February to December, offering visitors a chance to explore its rich history and architectural beauty.
