The Stamp Museum of Oaxaca, also known as MUFI, is a unique museum located in the city of Oaxaca. It is dedicated to the dissemination of philately, the study of postage stamps and postal history, and collecting. This museum provides an opportunity for visitors to explore the world of stamps and learn about their historical significance.

MUFI's Collection

The museum's collection is vast, comprising about 200,000 pieces. Among these are a Penny Black, the world's first postage stamp, and the first stamp issued in Mexico. The museum also houses a complete collection of stamps produced in Mexico since 1856. This extensive collection offers visitors a comprehensive look at the history of postage stamps, both globally and within Mexico.
