In 2009, Shelby Automobiles underwent another name change, reverting back to its original name, Shelby American. This change was made in order to celebrate the 45th birthday of two iconic models, the AC Cobra and the Shelby GT350, under the original company name.
The Shelby Museum, located on the company premises, is open to the public free of charge. Visitors are welcome from Monday to Friday at 10.30 am. The museum not only offers a glimpse into the manufacturing facilities but also showcases a rotating collection of exhibits. These exhibits feature some of the most famous cars ever made, ranging from the first Cobra CSX-2000 to Series 1 prototypes, as well as some of the latest creations.
