Schloss Wolfshagen is situated in the district of the same name, within the municipality of Groß Pankow. It is approximately eight kilometers west of Pritzwalk in the northwest of Brandenburg. The castle is located on the Stepenitz, about four kilometers away from the B 189.
Currently, Schloss Wolfshagen functions as a museum and is a venue for various cultural events. These include concerts, art exhibitions, lectures, conferences, and readings.
The ground floor of Schloss Wolfshagen showcases a variety of items. These include furniture, utensils, hunting trophies, and ancestral portraits, particularly of the von Winterfeld, von Saldern, von Platen, and von Königsmarck families, as well as Hohenzollern portraits. These items originate partly from Schloss Wolfshagen itself and partly from other manor houses of the Gans zu Putlitz family or other Märkische manor houses.
The upper floor of Schloss Wolfshagen is home to the porcelain collection of Bernhard von Barsewisch. This collection is considered the most significant in Europe, featuring utility ware and Central European blue painting from over 50 European manufacturers. It includes pieces spanning four centuries.
