This early Jacobean manor house was begun in 1605 and has been lived in by members of the Nelthorpe family ever since. The building is Grade-I listed and contains a number of important paintings including several by George Stubbs. It includes a First World War Centenary exhibition. The Hall's Victorian kitchen garden is also open to visitors, and sells produce.

Opening hours

Our dates for opening during the 2023 season are as follows:

May 4, 7, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 and 29

June 8, 15, 16, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 29

July 1, 2 and 5

August 26, 27 and 28

September 7, 14, 15 and 17

Visits to the Hall are by guided tour only. Tours take place at 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM. The gardens are open from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM on open days as well.
