The Casa de Santa Maria, located in Cascais, Lisbon District, Portugal, is a museum that was once a luxurious private residence. The Cascais Municipality acquired it in October 2004, transforming it into a museum that showcases a blend of different architectural styles and influences.
The Casa de Santa Maria is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday. While it does not house any movable artefacts, it boasts a rich collection of tiles and paintings, primarily from the Portuguese Baroque period. This includes polychrome blue and yellow painted tiles, originally from the Marvila Convent in Lisbon, and tiled narrative scenes from the Virgin Mary's life, produced in Talavera, Spain at the end of the 16th Century.
