The Sandsteinmuseum Bad Bentheim, opened in the summer of 1999, is situated in a historic anchor beam house with a modern extension. This unique location is nestled in the castle park below the Bentheim Castle in Bad Bentheim, Lower Saxony. The museum's location offers visitors a chance to explore the rich history of the area while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Exhibitions at Sandsteinmuseum Bad Bentheim

The Sandsteinmuseum Bad Bentheim features a permanent exhibition spread over 180 meters, which can be divided into two parts. A notable highlight is the 13th-century baptismal font, which was a significant export at the time. The museum also showcases several large exhibits in its outdoor area. To keep the experience fresh and engaging, the permanent exhibition is supplemented by annual special exhibitions.
