The San Lorenzo Valley Museum, created by the San Lorenzo Valley Historical Society, is a pair of galleries and education centers. Its mission is to preserve and share the history of the San Lorenzo Valley. The museum operates as a nonprofit educational institution and is funded by the California Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities, private and corporate contributions, membership dues, and earned retail revenue.
The San Lorenzo Valley Museum has two galleries. The original gallery is located in Boulder Creek, and there is an additional gallery in nearby Felton. Both galleries are open to the public and admission is free.
The main gallery, administrative office, and information center of the San Lorenzo Valley Museum are housed in the former Grace Episcopal Church building. This building is located on State Route 9 in Boulder Creek. It is constructed of old-growth redwood in the late Gothic Revival style and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
