Saint Elizabeth's Church, also referred to as the Old Stone Church, is a historic site located at 302 East Chicago Boulevard in the heart of downtown Tecumseh, Lenawee County, Michigan. This church holds a significant place in the history of the region and is easily accessible due to its central location.
The church was recognized as a Michigan Historic Site on May 8, 1986, and was subsequently added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 13, 1986. This recognition underscores the historical significance of the church and its contribution to the cultural heritage of the region.
In 1982, the City of Tecumseh purchased the building and in 1986, it was formally dedicated as the Tecumseh Area Historical Museum. This transformation has allowed the building to continue serving the community, while also providing a space for visitors to learn about the area's history.
