Flavia Solva was a city in the Roman province of Noricum, situated in the Leibnitzer Feld near Leibnitz in southern Styria, Austria. Today, the remains of Flavia Solva can be found in an open field about 40 km south of the Styrian capital, Graz, in the market town of Wagna. During the Roman era, it was located on the western bank of the Mur River, which also served as a connection to the Roman road network.
Archaeological excavations have revealed a long oval amphitheater among the public buildings of Flavia Solva. The forum, which was unknown for a long time, is now believed to be located in the area of insulae 25 and 26. This area also housed the thermal baths. The city's water supply and canal system are still unknown.
Today, only a few foundations of Flavia Solva are visible on the edge of Wagna. These can be visited by tourists and are covered by a pavilion on stilts, which houses a pastry shop and an ice cream parlor. The remains of the underfloor heating of a Roman house are protected from weathering and vandalism with a glass roof. The course of the wall remains and house blocks in the ground are partially marked with metal shafts on the excavation field.
