The Rindal Skimuseum, previously known as the Rindal Bygdemuseum, is an open-air museum situated in the scenic town of Rindal in the Norwegian province of Trøndelag. This museum offers a unique opportunity to explore Norwegian history and culture in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Established in 1950, the Rindal Skimuseum comprises 14 buildings that house workshops of various craftsmen. Visitors can explore these workshops and gain insights into traditional Norwegian crafts. The museum also boasts a vast collection of books and photographs that provide a glimpse into the past.
In 2014, a ski museum was inaugurated within the Rindal Skimuseum, underscoring the village's rich tradition in ski manufacturing. This addition to the museum also pays tribute to the several Olympic medal winners hailing from Rindal. Visitors can learn about the history of skiing and the local heroes who have achieved international acclaim in the sport.
