The Reggae Maranhão Museum, located in the Historic Center of São Luís in Brazil, holds the distinction of being the first reggae-themed museum outside of Jamaica and the second in the world. The Reggae Maranhão Museum is divided into five distinct spaces. The Hall of Immortals pays tribute to the great names of reggae in Maranhão who have passed away. The other four spaces honor the reggae clubs of São Luís, namely the Pop Som Club, the Toque de Amor Club, the União do BF Club, and the Espaço Aberto Club. These spaces provide a unique opportunity for visitors to delve into the local reggae scene.
The Reggae Maranhão Museum boasts a diverse collection of reggae memorabilia, including rare records, historical videos and photos, and reggae fashion items from different eras.
