Today, the former Redwood County Poor Farm building is home to the Redwood County Museum. Operated by the Redwood County Historical Society, the museum features 30 rooms filled with local history and cultural exhibits. Visitors can explore period rooms such as a living room, dining room, kitchen, general store, military room, and doctor's office, each offering a unique glimpse into the past.
The Redwood County Museum is open to the public on weekends from May through October. This schedule allows visitors to plan their trips accordingly and ensures that they can fully experience the rich history and cultural exhibits that the museum has to offer.
In addition to the main museum building, the grounds of the Redwood County Museum also feature a one-room school building. This structure provides a unique opportunity for visitors to step back in time and experience what education was like in a bygone era.
