The Royal Air Force Digby Sector Operations Room Museum offers visitors a glimpse into the World War II era operations of the RAF. Located on an active RAF base, this small museum preserves the original underground bunker used during the war. The museum showcases authentic equipment, displays, and artifacts from the 1940s, providing an educational experience about air defense operations during that period. Visitors often appreciate the knowledgeable volunteer guides who offer insightful explanations and personal stories, enhancing the overall experience. The museum's authenticity and historical significance are frequently highlighted as its strongest points. However, some visitors note that the museum is quite compact and may not take long to explore thoroughly. Additionally, due to its location on an active military base, access can sometimes be restricted or require advance booking, which some find inconvenient. Despite these minor drawbacks, most visitors find the museum informative and well-maintained, offering a valuable look into an important aspect of British military history.
