The Prehistoric Park, known as Parco della Preistoria in Italian, is a vast naturalistic park spanning over 100 hectares of woodland. It is located on the outskirts of the Rivolta d'Adda commune in the Cremona province, approximately 20 kilometers east of Milan. This expansive park offers a unique blend of nature and history, making it an ideal destination for those interested in both.
Adjacent to the Adda river, the park houses 30 reconstructions of prehistoric animals, including prehistoric men, and a hundred semi-liberty wild animals. It also features a botanical itinerary with signposted plants, various natural environments such as a swamp, lawns, and lakes, picnic areas, a café, playgrounds, a labyrinth, and fossil exhibits. These diverse attractions offer a comprehensive and engaging experience for visitors of all ages.
Access to the park is exclusively for pedestrians, however, bicycles and leashed dogs are also permitted. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors, while also allowing for a more intimate exploration of the park's many features and attractions.
