Popcorn Park Animal Refuge is a small, non-profit animal sanctuary located in Forked River, New Jersey. Spanning 7 acres, this refuge is nestled within Lacey Township and serves as a sanctuary for a variety of animals. It is a place where abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds find a safe haven.
The refuge offers educational programs for visitors about animals and their environments. In addition to providing a sanctuary for animals, Popcorn Park Animal Refuge also has a separate adoption building where hundreds of rescued dogs and cats are available for adoption.
Popcorn Park Animal Refuge is home to over 200 animals. The refuge houses a variety of species including Bengal tigers, Siberian tigers, African lions, cougars, American black bears, and an Arabian camel from the Rough Point estate of Doris Duke. Visitors can also see numerous species of monkeys, foxes, and white-tailed deer.
