The Tramway de Pithiviers à Toury (TPT) was a significant part of the history of the Loiret department in France. This 600 mm gauge railway was constructed to transport sugar beet, a major agricultural product in the area. The railway stretched over a distance of 80 kilometres, connecting Pithiviers and Toury, two towns that are 31 kilometres apart.
The Association du Musée des Transports de Pithiviers (AMTP) was established with the aim of preserving at least a portion of the TPT line. Their efforts were successful, and the preserved line was reopened to the public on 23 April 1966. This preserved line offers visitors a glimpse into the past and the important role the railway played in the region's history.
