The zoo is home to a diverse collection of over 300 different bird species, with approximately 40 species under some form of protection. This wide variety of species provides visitors with the opportunity to observe and learn about birds from all over the world, including some that are rare or endangered.
Guided Tours at Avifauna
The park is primarily designed for guided tours, offering a journey through a botanical garden. Here, visitors can observe a rich variety of birds from all five continents, housed in 76 enclosures that are specifically adapted to the needs of the species or group of species they host. This setup allows for a close-up view of the birds in a setting that closely mimics their natural habitats.
Facilities and Activities at Avifauna
The park is equipped with a veterinary service, a breeding center, a library, a museum, and an environmental classroom. It conducts environmental education activities, primarily targeted at educational centers in the province and other groups. These activities are designed to enhance understanding of the world of birds and their environment, making it a great place for both entertainment and education.
