The Parque Histórico de Carambeí (PHC) is an open-air historical museum situated in the municipality of Carambeí, in the state of Paraná. The museum was inaugurated in 2011, during the Centenary of Dutch Immigration celebrations, and spans an impressive 100,000 square meters.
The museum is divided into five distinct sections, each offering a unique perspective on the history and culture of the region. These sections are the House of Memory, the Historical Village, the Water Park, the Amsterdam Cultural Center, and the Exhibition Center.
The museum complex of Parque Histórico de Carambeí, spanning 100,000 square meters, vividly portrays the history of Dutch immigration in the Campos Gerais region of Paraná. This is achieved through a rich display of culture, architecture, and gastronomy, providing visitors with a comprehensive understanding of the region's Dutch heritage.
The Historical Village of Carambeí is an architectural ensemble that provides a snapshot of the old Carambeí Colony from its inception in 1911 until 1935. The ensemble consists of replicas of the houses of Dutch settlers, a school, the Carambeí train station, and the first church they built during that period.
