The Parc zoologique de Paris, also known as the Paris Zoological Park, offers a diverse collection of animals in a modernized setting. Visitors appreciate the spacious enclosures that attempt to mimic natural habitats, providing a more ethical environment for the animals. The park's layout, divided into five biozones, allows for an educational journey through different ecosystems.
Many guests enjoy the variety of species on display, including big cats, primates, and birds. The large artificial rock, a prominent feature of the park, adds to its unique landscape. The park's commitment to conservation and education is evident through informative displays and occasional keeper talks.
However, some visitors find the park to be expensive for the experience offered. There are occasional complaints about limited visibility of certain animals, especially during hot days when they may be less active or seeking shade. The food options within the park receive mixed reviews, with some finding them overpriced or limited in variety.
Accessibility is generally good, with most areas being wheelchair and stroller-friendly. The park's location within the city makes it convenient for tourists and locals alike.
Overall, the Parc zoologique de Paris provides a decent zoo experience within the urban setting of Paris. While it may not compete with some of the world's top zoos, it offers an opportunity to observe and learn about various animal species in a relatively spacious environment.
It is nice to visit the Paris Zoo and walk around for a couple of hours, but nothing really exceptional. The zoo groups the animals according to their geographical regions of origin, with modern, spacious enclosures with large glass panes in places. In general we enjoyed our day out in south east Paris. Catering facilities could be better.
