The Palitzsch Museum is a museum in Dresden that is dedicated to the 7000-year settlement history of today's district of Prohlis and the Prohlis natural scientist Johann George Palitzsch, who in 1758 first saw the then eagerly awaited Halley's comet. The museum is housed in a former farm and its exhibition space extends over an approximately 300 square meter loft. The permanent exhibition of the Palitzsch Museum focuses on various topics. Among other things, evidence of the local history of Prohlis are on display as well as objects that illustrate the life and work of Johann Georg Palitzsch.
