This includes approximately 3 kilometers of film material, over 2.5 million photographs (making it one of the largest photo collections in the United States), 85,000 artifacts, 30,000 books, 25,000 maps, and 16,000 rolls of microfilm containing 2,100 interviews that total 8,400 hours. Additionally, the museum houses about 4 shelf kilometers of historical sources.
