The Old Post Office Museum, located in Grand Marais, offers a unique glimpse into the town's history. Built in 1905, this distinctive five-sided building originally served as a jewelry store before becoming the main post office for nearly 70 years. In 2007, the building was donated to the Grand Marais Historical Society, which moved it to its current location on Lake Avenue. After extensive renovations, the museum opened to the public on July 25, 2009. Visitors can explore exhibits detailing the town's history from its founding to the present day. Additionally, the museum features a beautiful Rose Garden with hardy roses that bloom from early June until frost.
