The National Gallery of Art (NGA) is a prominent art museum in Washington, D.C. It is composed of two buildings, the East Building and the West Building. Collection in the West Building

The museum also houses the only widely recognized painting by Leonardo da Vinci on the American continent, the portrait of Ginevra Benci.

Collection in the East Building

The East Building of the National Gallery of Art, which opened in 1978, is dedicated to modern and contemporary art. The collection includes works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Matisse, Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, Max Beckmann, Barnett Newman, and Alexander Calder. In addition to the art exhibits, the East Building also houses the museum's main office.
