Myllarheimen is a music history museum located in Arabygdi, within the Vinje municipality of Norway. The museum is dedicated to the life and work of the folk musician Torgeir Augundsson, who was also known by his nickname, Myllarguten. This museum provides a unique insight into the life of this renowned musician and the rich musical history of the region.
For visitors in groups of more than ten people, the museum offers the option to request a guide. Additionally, pieces of music in the style of Myllarguten can be performed on traditional instruments such as the violin, flute, or langleik, a type of Norwegian zither. This interactive experience allows visitors to immerse themselves in the musical traditions of the region.
