Museum van Hemessen and its collection

The Museum van Hemessen is located on the second floor of the former fire department garage. The museum is named after the field ranger of Woubrugge who assembled most of the museum's collection in the years 1890 to 1924. The museum exhibits include postcards, photographs archaeological finds and ship models. The collection focuses on the history of the Rhineland villages of Woubrugge and Hoogmade, their associated polders and the vanished village of Jacobswoude.
